Character Diaries: Alvaj - Season 1 - Entry 022

The Cycle of Ijar, 33rd cycle of the Month of the Great Sea, 1932 years after Creation / Thursday, 12th of February 6099

Today the furs have been taken out of the pickling solution, been wringed out, the rest of the excess flesh peeled off, then they were neutralized in an alkaline solution. After they sat for an hour, I then applied a tanning solution and left them to dry close, but not too close to the fire. They should be ready for being stretched and broken tomorrow. Once that is done I’ll have some real fur blankets to use and not these horrible replicated ones that itch and scratch.

Tomorrow I have to go back to work. I’m feeling a lot better about this.
