Character Diaries: Alvaj - Season 1 - Entry 033

The Cycle of Yvan, 44th cycle of the Month of the Great Sea, 1932 years after Creation / Monday, 23rd of February 6099

I can't do it. I can’t get rid of the cat. Its so cute, and it's just a kitten. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. The cat is obviously a spy for the Black Circle! But at the same time… I think the cat might be… able to understand me? Also, she seems to not need food… and doesn’t need to poop. That makes me really worried that this cat is not really a cat at all. But she’s just so cute.

I even caught the cat flipping through a really old magazine that belonged to my parents when I go home from work. She looked like she was reading it! What type of cat is this?

That made me get the Adjutant to run scans on her. Turns out… she’s made completely of nanites. I have never heard of such a thing, but ran a search on the holonet about it and guess what? There is a conspiracy theory out there that almost everyone’s pets these days are actually drones of some robotic entity that rules the galaxy. And their proof is the fact that their pets seem to be made of nanites. It seems completely crazy, but at this point I’d believe anything.
